'After the tsunami I voluntarily went south to help the Moken people with their legal status; they live on Koh Lao, Koh Chang, Koh Phayam in Ranong Province, and Koh Surin in Phang Nga Province. While working for the sea gypsies community (the Moken, Moklen and Urak Lawoi) I encourage and guide them to speak up and tell their story to the world.'

The Urak Lawoi

The Urak Lawoi are Malay in origin and they live in southern Thailand, on islands and the coastal area around the Andamse Sea. They live scattered on islands and in coastal areas in the provinces of Satun, Phuket and Krabi.
