Ying Titikan, the Queen of Love

This interview is in response to the European tour of Ying Titikan (หญิง ธิติกานต์.) Her program includes the countries Switzerland, Germany (all major cities), Sweden (Stockholm) and the Netherlands.

Ying Titikan has specialized in love songs. Finding a partner, the happiness of being in love, heartbreak, misfortune in life. Why? She herself indicates that this is not because she herself has a lot of heartbreak. She is naturally very cheerful and in a good mood, but her voice simply lends itself to singing love songs. She has a very emotional voice that drags you into the story of the song.

Her music is typified by ballads accompanied by drums, piano and interspersed with acoustic guitar, electric guitar and many guitar solos. She also has strings in some of her songs.

Her name Titikan is not a stage name, it's her real name. Ying means woman and Titikan is her nickname. She comes from Bangkok and therefore sings Thai (not Isaan like many artists).

What makes her special is that she writes her own music, so she already has an oeuvre to say to you. She has already released more than 10 CDs and is also on The Man City Lion Project CD. That's quite an achievement. She has also had no musical training, so she is a natural talent.

Her music videos on Youtube usually show the full story between which Ying Titikan sings. She does not direct the videos on Youtube, she works with a permanent director. She wants to keep singing in the future as long as the audience appreciates her, she says herself that she is getting older by the day. I think she will sing for a very long time, because love has no age.
