Joy and Job: From the textile factory to the stage
Joy is the older sister, Job is the younger sister (Thai: จ๊อบ & จอย). It's two hands on one stomach, it's cute to hear them talk together about their dreams and their common trajectory they've traveled.
When they worked together in the textile factory, they dreamed loudly about a musical career. They have been able to fulfill their goal of becoming professional singers and even together. They are biological sisters, in Thailand good friends say they are "sisters", but these two ladies are real "sisters", they differ from each other by 3 years.
They come from Ubon Ratchatani. Their European tour consisted of performances in the Netherlands (Eindhoven), Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, France (Paris) and Germany. They call their style of music themselves Mor Lam Pan Lai, it is different kind of Mor Lam combined. The name Job & Joy was given to them by their first record company Nopporn Silvergold. They thought it sounded good and kept that name throughout their career.
They have been professionally engaged in music since 1999, so already 18 years and they have released more than 10 CDs. The original label was Nopporn Silvergold but they are now affiliated with Sangravee Entertainment. The subjects of their songs are happy love songs, Isaan culture and happy party songs. The language in which the singing is mainly Isaan and a bit of Bangkok's Thai. They don't write the music themselves, so the two ladies have different songwriters who deliver their songs. When asked if they still have time for extracurricular activities, they answer negatively, they are completely occupied with their music.
They have the very beautiful dresses they wear made to order because according to them, what you can buy in the store is not special enough. In the future they want to take it easy, if enough money comes in from life it's ok. They follow the sufficient economy principle of the former Thai king Bhumibol.
