Hua Hin is famous for its excellent golf courses and was the first place in Thailand with a golf course. Now there are many world class golf courses and all reachable within 30 minutes from the centre. So take your golf clubs with you when you go to Hua Hin.

    Interesting, but some of the disadvantages of Hua Hin:
    I've been there 2 x and both times a lot of jellyfish in the sea. That really pissed me off, maybe a coincidence.
    Another disadvantage is the highway (literally) through the city. Very inconvenient with hotels on one side and the beach on the other.
    Also little shelter on the beach (I thought), but it may not be like that everywhere in Hua Hin. Nice market with fish restaurants!
    Video is nice (2015…..) and maybe an option if our grandson comes along.

      perhaps Khao Takiab Beach, a little further outside the city, is an option?
      this one is about 6km long and quieter..
