Street vendors in Pattaya tackled again

At the beginning of this month, street vendors came home with a rude awakening. Last year there was already a long battle between the municipality, the police and the military and the hawkers, but from July 2017 peace seemed to return between the two parties. The street vendors were no longer visible.

The street vendors made a wrong assessment this time by picking up their activities again. This on the assumption that after a major action there would be no further follow-up. A kind of tolerance construction between all parties. However, the new policy with the new deputy mayor Bandit Kunnajukr turned out differently.

He re-inspected the area near the Hard Rock Hotel and noticed street vendors again trying to sell their wares to passing tourists. And also where they had hidden their things. These were seized and the homeless hawkers were sent to the Chonburi Protection Center for the Destitute.

Beach hawkers on Jomtien drove me crazy in the past, reading a book was hardly possible and only closing your eyes helped. But then I found something about it, even though I don't speak Thai, this was the best remedy. I'll write it as I say it and can be found in every translation guide. Spawn Doeikan Maai. Or ask those hawkers if they know where the beach is, while you are already there. Make responses from them and you can count on them asking you nothing more… Take advantage of it

a good start because every time you're eating somewhere they stick their stuff under your nose and they're not suckers, are they!
they usually travel with 2 on a nice moped so they earn a good living.
a real plague that will hopefully be eradicated soon!!!

I think it's not too bad. I've never really been bothered by those people in 19 times. Besides, they are very friendly. I think they belong to the beach. It is very different in Turkey where you are treated aggressively and you are called names if you do not buy anything. A Thai will never do that. By the way, for the best massage you have to be with an older woman on the beach. Have a nice holiday. This year my anniversary: the 20th time
