The Soi Country Club has been unusable for quite some time. The road was broken up and afterwards there were all kinds of reasons not to continue with the renovation of the road. According to residents, the road has been impassable for almost 3 years.

Bringing it to the attention of Nongprue sub-district officials also did not make them jump out of their chair to take action. A protest march through the mud on a non-existent road was not an option. Finally someone came up with the fun idea to place a few banana trees on the road. After the photos were distributed on social media and many people thought this was a playful action, the relevant officials could not see the humor in it. She did take action now: the trees were removed.

The remarkable thing is that part of the road is ready, but is only half a meter higher than the half, which still needs to be renovated. The road will be dry when it rains, but how the lower adjacent buildings will get away with that is a very big question.

How the rest of the mud pit connects to the rest of the road only Buddha knows!

For a very large part of Soi Siam Country a beautiful new job has been made with 4 lanes. Very nicely laid out with new sewers etc. They work hard here every day and the result is very good. Of course one cannot work everywhere at the same time, but every day it progresses.

I want to walk to the station on my next leave in Pattaya and today I looked at the map to see how best to get there. Let it be Soi Siam Country Club. But now I see that there is also a parallel road is running. Will get there.

Does anyone know if the large sauna on the right is open again? There was a sign that it would open in April (2017), but it was still closed in June…….

And most importantly, is the butterfly bar still accessible?
