Pattaya accounts for 8,3 million tourists
Pattaya is very popular with tourists. In 2012, about 8,3 million people visited the seaside resort and this number is expected to grow by 2013 percent in 10, writes Bangkok Post.
According to Auttaphol Wannakij of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), more and more domestic tourists are also coming to Pattaya and the Chon Buri province. The average occupancy rate of hotel rooms in Pattaya this month is between 70-90 percent. A few years ago it was different. At that time, the occupancy rate remained between 40-50 percent.
Most foreign tourists visiting Pattaya come from Russia, followed by China, Germany and South Korea.
About Pattaya
Pattaya is located about 140 kilometers southeast of Bangkok. Pattaya has grown from a sleepy fishing village to a bustling party destination in just a few decades. The main beach is over 4 km long and overlooks the bay where boats depart for nearby islands. It runs parallel to a boardwalk and beach road.
The northernmost part of the beach is quiet, towards the central and southern part it gets busier. This is due to the presence of many shops, boutiques, supermarkets, drugstores, beauty salons, restaurants, bars, discotheques and nightclubs. Accommodation in Pattaya ranges from luxury seaside hotels to simple guesthouses.

I wonder what percentage of this is still Western European, US/Canadian or Aussie.
Unfortunately not listed, but I suspect that more than 60% is Russian/Chinese/Indonesian or Arabic.
Except for a few streets that fortunately they don't leave often, I haven't noticed much of that Arabic yet.
If this ever becomes reality, I will ignore this town like the plague in the future.
