Nuisance due to roadworks in Pattaya

Naklua Road

Many residents are irritated at the many road works that are currently taking place in Pattaya.

It is impossible to turn left onto Second Road from Bali Hai Pier, completely closed. On the Sukhumvit Road between Pattaya Thai (South) and Pattaya Klang (Central) in the direction of Sri Racha, the road has been narrowed due to works, causing congestion and sometimes blocking the Pattaya Thai when traffic is given the green light.

At the beginning of the Khao Talo, the road has broken up near the market. On the parallel road at the spool line from Khao Talo to Soi Nong Kraborg (Soi 87), the road has been cut in half and there are no further works to be seen there. This week saw the water reservoir Chaknork being dredged empty on the banks. It is striking that due to the low water level, the machines could go to work there in the water.

If one is driving on the Naklua Road, congestion from Soi 11 must be taken into account due to the construction of drainage pipes for abundant rainwater. Traffic returns to normal after Soi 9.

The residents of Pattaya believe that the road works should not take place in many places at the same time and sometimes remain unfinished for a while, causing unnecessary disruption to traffic.

The town hall disputes the idea that these are different projects with different budgets, such as one for the elimination of overhead power lines and one for the drainage of excess water.

The main bottlenecks in Pattaya and the surrounding area are indicated. It is impossible to predict how long this will take.

It has certainly been striking lately and as a road worker you will not be left without a job. Always something to do in that industry. Water drainage is of course a major problem and overdue maintenance can also be done about it. Fortunately, it is not that busy with tourists, so it is not too bad in terms of traffic, in my experience.

Oh, they don't do anything, it's not good and now that they are busy it's not good either. In some places it does indeed seem to take forever and see yes in a week no change at all in the work. the dark site has also been worked on for years, but must honestly say that the result is extremely beautiful with super nice street lighting. My neighbor once also complained about the heavy freight traffic and noise from the work at our new house. When I asked whether his house had risen like a mushroom from the ground, it remained pretty quiet from his side for a very long time. centuries like this. The associated nuisance must be dealt with before it is in good order, that is worldwide.

Glad it's being refurbished, hopefully for a longer period of time.

But it is sometimes more reminiscent of: "Help my husband is a handyman!"
