Complaints about poor condition of seafront promenade in Pattaya
Vacationers, residents and beach chair rental companies complain about the poor condition of the seafront in some areas of Beachroad in Pattaya.
Like every year, the monsoon waves in September and October made a lot of noise and it shows. The pavement of the seafront promenade has been damaged by subsidence. There are concrete residues on the beach and in some places reinforcing steel is sticking out of the ground.
This image does not invite a relaxed beach holiday, which is why the operators of beach chairs are calling on the municipality to finally put words into action. Especially now that the tourist high season is just around the corner.

Ah, it went. Local authority??? Do they get tired of it. Jomtien's beach road, which now looks a bit reasonable again, will soon be a drama again, but we keep coming back every year….
An old problem, see posting”: “Recovery Pattaya Beach is delayed”.
A plan is currently being considered to construct breakwaters on the coast!
I've been there twice now for a day or two and I know one thing for sure these were the last two times in Pattaya what a crazy mess not normal.
If you want to attract tourists that have to fill the municipality and state coffers, then you are completely wrong. it's not a beach it never will be, I really don't understand farrangs why they want to live there. The last time I was there for family matters, the beach was so polluted with plastic and foreigners are happily sunbathing in between. Absurd.
But good if people want it said so, but is something really going to change??? no way now not then not never not
Have seen the working method up close, in the paving there was a hole of almost 3 × 3 meters and almost a meter deep, more than half was now filled with all kinds of mess such as plastic, tempex, bottles and leaf. A small truck comes and dumps a few m2 of sand in it, then a few municipal workers who level it a bit with a shovel and then about 8 men and women who close the piece with pavers. That is a super good way of working because these people are 100% sure that they will never become unemployed, after the first rain shower they can. After all, starting with the same piece again.
The tourists keep coming anyway. Is it not for the beach or for something else . Why should city hall make a fuss about a piece of polluted beach in Pattaya-Jomtien?
