Closure of Bali Hai port: first problems become visible

Now that the first grand plans about the “Fleet Review 2017” have been launched for the period from 13 to 22 November 2017, people are starting to ask questions in a number of places. Due to the enormous security measures of the city council, the marine department and the police, a large area is closed for 10 days.

This puts pressure on the ferry services that operate on Koh Larn, the many speed boat owners, diving trip providers and hundreds of companies on Koh Larn and other nearby islands. In this 10-day period, they would have no income. The smaller boats may still be able to moor at the beach and pick up customers.

However, many thousands of Chinese, who have Koh Larn as the highlight in the tour package, would also be duped. A large group that should not be underestimated.

Because all high-ranking naval commanders from all ASEAN countries will be present at the naval review, safety is regarded as the highest priority. In addition, this Fleet Review celebrates ASEAN's 50th anniversary. In addition to Prime Minister Prayut, many heads of state from other countries will also come.

The security chief of the Sattahip naval base stated that there were indeed many problems that required attention.

It is clear that consultation with stakeholders has been on the back burner.

Does anyone know if the Ferry Hua Hin baar Pattaya runs on Sun 19/11 ? Seems to be just impossible.

Since this is made known well in advance, everyone can take this into account. We are happy that Pattaya is bringing in events like this to promote the city.
