Phra Maha Mondop Phuttabat

A nice video from Pattaya. Various sights are shown at a rapid pace. A drone is often used, creating a "bird view". How the different images are linked to each other could have been done in a quieter way.

The Sanctuary of Truth is shown first, which has been discussed before, and then you go to Pattaya Park where you can abseil from the 270 meter high tower. Then one very quickly switches to the Wat Jansangwararam. Three buildings are briefly shown in that park, namely the imitated square tower from India of the Mahabodhi temple. Then one sees the Chakri Phiphat Pagoda containing the relics of Buddha and finally the Phra Maha Mondop Phuttabat on a high hill at the end of this Wat area. In this building the "footsteps" of Buddha can be admired in a glass box. The building has beautiful colored windows and the view is magnificent towards (Na) Jomtien (8 kilometers).

The next fragment shows the Khao Chi Chan Buddha Mountain This gold-inlaid Buddha image is one of the highest in the world (130 meters). In 1996 this was designed in honor of the 50e King Bhumibol's birthday celebrated in honor of the enthronement. Another Big Buddha (Phra Yai) can be found near the viewpoint of Pattaya.

Just a quick look at the Pattaya Beach to finally end at the Walking Street and you see the discotheque Insomnia where some Dutch DJ's have played.

This is a brief summary of what to see or do in Pattaya. The Thailandblog provides excellent detailed information on many more sights and activities as well as the free guides that are widely available.
