There is plenty to see and do in the cosmopolitan city of Bangkok. You cannot avoid making a choice, especially if you are only staying in Bangkok for a few days. With this video you can get ideas and inspiration.
Rattanakosin is the ancient city of Bangkok. King Rama I had his capital built here in 1782. This area also houses the most important sights of Bangkok, such as the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phrakeaw). The neighborhood borders the Chao Phraya River to the west.
The old town also has nice alleys and neighborhoods with wooden houses where time seems to have stood still. Almost all sights are within walking distance of each other.
