I regularly travel to Thailand as a tourist (for a month), but want to stay for a year next time, next year, with my partner. She is Thai. We can't get married. My questions: The 800,000 THB will be frozen so will not be available for my own use during my stay in Thailand?

My 30 day extension indicates January 16, 2023 as the last day. Does that mean I have to leave Thailand on January 16 or does it have to be 1 day earlier? If I want to do a border run by car to Laos, on which date should I re-enter Thailand? Are there any requirements to enter Laos or re-enter Thailand?

I am now staying in Thailand and am going to arrange a long term visa. After each visit to collect more information, I get responses from agencies that they can arrange the application for 40.000 thb or higher.
Can't do that myself, because that's a lot of money. Can I do that at immigration or the Thai embassy?

I have a question about the experiences with the TM30. About 2 weeks ago I went to make a TM30 report for my tenant at Jomtien Immigration, to my surprise the line of fine payers was extremely long. My impression was that anyone who came to get an extension and could not present a TM30 first had to pay a 1.600 baht fine and then first fix the TM30 before they could get their extension.

Can you still make a border run following a tourist visa single entry and an extension of 30 days to extend your stay by 45 days? I thought I understood that you can only stay in Thailand for 180 consecutive days in a period of 90 days. Or am I mistaken in this?

My questions have probably been answered before, but sometimes I can't see the wood for the trees. I am considering going to Thailand with a tourist visa (60 days). If I want to extend by a maximum of 45 days (before 1/4/2023), I can do a border run within 45 days after arrival in Thailand, but I do have to present an international flight ticket when checking in at Zaventem, for example, which shows that I have entered Thailand. 45 days leaves by plane.

In response to visa question No. 223/22: METV, you write that with a METV, you get a residence period of 60 days with each entry. You can make as many entries as you want, as long as it is within the validity period of the visa. You can extend each entry once after 60 days by 30 days. Clear answer, but I do have three additional questions.

We have been traveling to Thailand since 2002 (aged 74 and 76, not married). We always obtained a visa for 3 months in Amsterdam, no problem at all. After 2 corona years we thought we would go back to our second homeland. Everything now had to be digital. Hired an expert for this. We are digital illiterate!

Please explain how to obtain an annual visa. I have been married to a Thai woman for 5 months now and have enough money in my Thai bank account in my name. Immigration cannot give me an annual visa, I have to arrange it in my country Belgium. They definitely call that Non O visa. They can lengthen and then borderrun and lengthen again.

I'm going to Thailand soon for 64 days. I called the Thai embassy to ask if it is possible to extend the 45 day visa for 30 days. Then I got the answer that that is up to the practitioner in Thailand and that they cannot answer that. Then I suggested a visa run. That seems to be forbidden, they said, my contact person was very annoyed by that question.
