In memoriam: Ton Lankreijer (63)
This week the editors of Thailandblog reposted a blogposting from Ton Lankreijer, unfortunately we were not aware that Ton was no longer with us, we apologize for that. A reader drew our attention to the fact that Ton passed away on October 26th. He was on his honeymoon with his wife in France and suffered a cardiac arrest. He was 63 years old.

How many Dutch people now live (semi) permanently in Thailand? Who knows may say. Estimates always ranged from 9.000 to 12.000. According to Jef Haenen, head of consular affairs at the Dutch embassy in Bangkok, there are many more.
