Can I use legalized documents more than once in Thailand?

Early 2022 we successfully registered our marriage in Thailand, which was concluded in the Netherlands. Now our plan is to settle permanently in Thailand in mid-October. For various registrations I already have various fully legalized documents, such as my international birth certificate and marriage certificate.

After a divorce in Thailand, everything seems to be settled, until you hear at the Dutch municipality that you are still registered as married. Legalizing your Thai divorce certificate turns out to be a complicated and expensive process. What are your options and how do you avoid unnecessary hassle?
