We have been renting a condo in Jomtien for 3 years. There is a one-year lease, which expires in August and is then renewed every year. Now the owner wants to sell the condo, we have had viewers come over a few times. We suspect that if a buyer comes, we will have to leave in the meantime.

Accidents involving gas tanks on buses in Thailand

Dear readers, To my knowledge there were 3 terrible bus accidents due to incorrect storage of gas tanks in a closed space at the bottom of the bus. What did the government do after the first, second or third accident? When buses still ran on diesel you never heard of this of course. That should make the government think! In Thailand a Thai person can receive gifts without paying tax on them, up to 20 million baht per year, if I am correct. I heard that an English tax consultant advises to avoid taxes by transferring the money to your Thai partner's account rather than to your own.

Dear readers, I understand that I can deduct 60.000 Baht if my Thai wife does not work. But how much can I deduct if she earns approximately 3.000 Baht per month as a freelancer? And I was only married for 5 months in 2024 (we have been living together for years). Will it then be 5/12 x 60.000?
