Suthep thinks Emergency is ridiculous
“Is there an emergency in this country? We have been protesting for three months. Why is a state of emergency being declared now?' Action leader Suthep Thaugsuban does not understand what prompted the government to declare a state of emergency for Bangkok and parts of three surrounding provinces.
STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR BANGKOK
Thailand's outgoing government led by Prime Minister Yingluck has declared a state of emergency for Bangkok and parts of the surrounding provinces of Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan this afternoon.

Bangkok Shutdown costs 10 million baht per day
Bangkok Shutdown costs the protest movement around 10 million baht per day. That money comes from donations and the sale of protest paraphernalia. Big corporations are not lending support "for fear of the wealthy politicians who have run this country for more than a decade."
