When we leave the house in the Netherlands, we usually wear shoes, or rather footwear, because in addition to the many types of (sports) shoes, we also have boots, sneakers and clogs. When we come back home, we just keep the shoes on and only take them off when we feel like it.

I know that some farangs, according to this blog, sometimes feel discriminated against if they have to pay more entrance fees than a Thai for entry to a national park, for example. But it also works the other way around, sometimes a Farang has an edge over the Thai.

As a foreigner living in Thailand you must have a Thai driver's license. The 1st time you get a driver's license, it is valid for 1 year. If you want to extend it, you will receive a driver's license that is valid for 5 years and the number of months until your birthday.
