On Phra Tamnak Hill in Pattaya, the construction of a horizon-polluting skyscraper with a hotel and condos was once started. The 53-storey building offered condos for sale between 10 and 100 million baht, 80% of which had already been sold at the time, according to the developers.

In Pattaya east (the darkside) a connecting road has been renovated in a fantastic way, the Soi 9. This road connects the Soi Nongkraborg (no. 89) with the Nern Plawaan Rd. (no.53) and halfway to the Wat Kao Sao Thong with the Khao Talo, where the famous Dutch restaurant Pepper and Salt van Eddy is located.
