In August 2024, the Royal Thai Navy will organize four of the twelve rehearsals for the Royal Barge Procession in preparation for the Royal Kathin ceremony that will take place at Wat Arun on October 27. There are also numerous other events and festivals this month. Below is an overview of the highlights:

  • Rehearsals for the Royal Barge Procession: These will take place on August 1, 8, 15 and 22 along the Chao Phraya River, from the Rama VIII Bridge to Wat Arun in Bangkok.
  • Great Muay Thai Experience:
    • Muay Chaiya: From August 2 to 4 in Chaiya District, Surat Thani.
    • Muay Tha Sao: From August 16 to 18 in Mueang District, Uttaradit.
  • Amazing Beach Life Festival 2024:
    • Neon Waves: From August 2 to 4 at Patong Beach, Phuket.
    • Art paradise: From August 9 to 11 at Chalatat Beach, Songkhla.
  • Balloon Music Festival: From August 3 to 8 at Laem Sing Beach, Chanthaburi.
  • Amazing Food Festival 2024 @ Hua Hin: From August 10 to 12 in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan.
  • Summer Sonic Bangkok 2024: On August 24 and 25 at IMPACT Challenger Hall, Nonthaburi.
  • AKHA Trail 2024: From August 10 to 11 in Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai.
  • Pattaya FILM Festival 2024: From August 21 to 25 in Pattaya City.
