Events and festivals in January 2024. January marks the start of the new year and brings with it a period of cool weather and plenty of blooming flowers. It is the ideal time for flower festivals, music events, annual markets and sports tournaments.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has put together a list of events and festivals taking place across Thailand this month. Here are some of the highlights:
- “Colors of Doi Tung”: This event will take place until January 28, 2024 at the Doi Tung Development Project in Chiang Rai.
- “Borsang Umbrella and Sankamphaeng Craft Festival”: From January 19 to 21, you can visit this festival in Borsang village in Chiang Mai.
- “Udon Thani's Red Lotus”: This event runs until February and takes place in the Kumphawapi, Ku Kaeo and Prachaksinlapakhom districts of Udon Thani.
- “Saraburi Jazz Festival”: Enjoy jazz music on January 20 and 21 at Manasikarn Hall in Saraburi.
- “Thailand Road & MTB Championships 2024 (Round 1)”: This sporting event will be held from January 19 to 21 at the Vajiralongkorn Dam in Kanchanaburi.
- “The 27th Bay Regatta”: This sailing regatta takes place from January 31 to February 4 in Phuket, Phang-nga and Krabi.
