Nacation in Thailand
Nacation? Yeah, I didn't know the word either, it's actually an English term. It is a contraction of naked and vacation, so simply in Dutch nude recreation.
In a recent article about a naturist campsite, Algemeen Dagblad writes that nakation is a new holiday trend. More than 2,5 million Dutch people would do it more or less regularly. Quote: “Naturists are generally very open-minded. Poor, rich, fat, thin; it doesn't matter at a naturist campsite. Everyone is really equal to each other. Being all naked takes away those differences."
It is of course not new, in Europe, and therefore also in the Netherlands and Belgium, there have been countless opportunities for naked recreation for many years. You can do that in your own garden, a nudist beach, a naturist campsite or park. Actually nothing special.

As a result of that article in AD and a similar story, which was published in the Belgian Het Laatste Nieuws a while ago, I did a little research into the situation of nakation in Thailand. Ten years ago, appearing topless and naked in public was absolutely forbidden in Thailand and it still is.
Search the internet for nakation in Thailand and you will see a number of websites with offers. For example, I saw https://traveltriangle.com/blog/nude-beaches-in-thailand where 5 nude beaches are described in Phuket and Koh Samui. It's a resort with a secluded beach where you can have fun in Adam's costume. People certainly don't have official permission for that nudity, but apparently it is allowed there with a blind eye ($$$).
Not in Thailand
No, Thailand is not the place to spend your holiday naked. I read a comment from a woman somewhere: "I think it's dellicious! No need to be ashamed, no nagging in tight showers with spasmodic towel stuff, no one who just talks to your breasts but is genuinely interested. No hassle and nagging. People who respect nature and the people around you.” You don't have to be in Thailand for that feeling.
There are nude resorts in Pattaya and the surrounding area.

North of Pattaya is Phuan Naturist Village (website easy to find).
Covid-19 has been cruel to naturism in Thailand. We lost four resorts: Oriental Village Chiang Mai, Phuan Naturist Village Pattaya, Lemon Tree Naturist Resort Phuket and Barefeet Heaven Hill Naturist Resort in Trang.
But we have five resorts left, where naturist from around the world enjoy being naked in a non-sexual environment: Chan Resort Pattaya, Barefeet Naturist Resort Bangkok, Peaceblue Naturist Resort Phuket, Oriental Beach Resort PhangNga, Harmony Naturist Resort Phuket.
Nudist / Naturist vacations is booming in Thailand and more and more locals are picking up the lifestyle. Surprising, but true!
I think Phuan still exists, just moved from somewhere between Pattaya and Sattahip, to a little north of Pattaya. Phuan is also for families, Chan only seems to attract couples.
Phuan does not exist. There is a new resort north of Pattaya which for a short while was a member of Naturist Association Thailand, but since they deliberately targeted swingers and would not change this target group, they were canceled by the association.
You are right. Phuan is closed. Indeed there is this new one north of Pattaya
