Many of my friends and acquaintances regularly eat at a beach restaurant in Ban Ampur. Especially in the weekends it is very busy and then this is clearly mainly due to Thai people. Apparently they know how to appreciate the quality of this restaurant.

Is this article a recommendation to go to the casino? No, and if you still want to, go to another, more cozy building. The piece just wants to say that getting a re-entry visa takes ten minutes if you go to Immigration in the afternoon. And that you can import and export a car fairly easily, at least when you want to go to Cambodia.

Hotel Nautical Inn – Pattaya

My eye falls on a signboard just to the north. On it is an anchor and the name of a hotel: Nautical Inn. A light comes on. More than forty years ago I slept in this hotel or at least in this place and in a hotel with this name.

What you can get close by is often the tastiest. When you continue the Beach Road from Jomtien to past Chayapruek (police post and traffic lights) in the early morning, you will soon see a number of fishing boats just off the coast.

Over a year ago, I wrote a piece about a new Thai restaurant, Thaifresh. The Dutch owner already said at the time that he might look for a buyer for the restaurant. A Belgian bought it and he changed the name to Aroi.

Bus stop in Pattaya

I sit down on a bench at a bus stop. My eye falls on the sign indicating the stop and I see that buses 19, 124, 125, 127, 128, 149, 516, 517 and 536 pass here. This makes me think. There are no buses in Pattaya at all.
