At the invitation of Henk Kiks van B-Quik will be under the flag of it SME Thailand organized a 3-day excursion to the Thailand Super Series car races in Buriram, which will take place from 25 to 27 October.

The organization of this trip is in the hands of Jaap vd Meulen and the whole is sponsored by The Hangover, the café for Dutch people in Soi 22 Sukhumvit in Bangkok.

The excursion

Under the motto “Calling SMEs with enough horsepower in their blood”, SMEs (and of course others) are invited to participate in the excursion. The post on Facebook says: “Join the pits! Meet the drivers and talk to them, see the cars up close and get your picture taken with anyone”

The journey

The excursion lasts 3 days, 2 nights. It will depart from The Hangover in Bangkok on October 25, probably (very) early in the morning so that the hotel will be reached around noon. Return from Buriram after the last race on October 12.00, so arrival in Bangkok may be around midnight. Own transport is also possible with the request to be at the hotel in Buriram around 27:12.00.

What does it cost?

Cost per person for these 3 days/2 nights (excluding breakfast), including entrance tickets to the grandstand and the pits (in small groups) 4.500 baht for a single room. When sharing the room with 2 people 2.250 baht per person. When using the collective transport from Bangkok per person 1.500 baht extra. Meals and drinks are for your own account.

Subscribe

There are currently eleven rooms reserved. There are no more rooms available in that hotel. A number of these 11 rooms are already reserved. Fast registration is therefore a requirement.

You can register until 1 May 2019 via the undersigned [email protected], stating the mobile phone number of the contact person, number of participants, number of desired rooms, sharing rooms with 2 people or not, use collective transport from Bangkok or not.

But don't wait too long, because full is full. The first registrations are already in. Registration is final after payment of your contribution, for which you receive an e-mail with the necessary information.

And then this

If there are more registrations than the currently available number of rooms, an attempt will be made to book extra rooms (elsewhere). Price guarantees on the costs mentioned here cannot then be given. If the declaration takes place after May 1 and can still be realized, an additional 500 baht per person will be charged on top of the possibly adjusted price. In the event of cancellation after payment, no refund of the amount paid can be made.

It is not the intention of Dutch MKB or the organization to make a profit with this excursion. If the total final costs are not too bad, a refund can be made pro rata. Possible further details about this excursion will be announced to the participants well before October 25th.

Initiative of SME Thailand

Another great initiative by MKB Thailand, which gratefully uses the invitation of Henk Kiks, the Dutch director/owner of B-Quik and himself a racing driver, and the sponsorship of The Hangover. Of course Henk Kiks will be present with his race team, but I don't know if Henk himself will participate behind the wheel of a race car.

Finally

If you are unable to participate in this excursion, please wait for my report on this blog, because I will be attending this spectacle at the invitation of Martien Vlemmix, the chairman of MKB Thailand!
