This community has existed for over 100 years. In earlier times, villages were often built on the riverbank because the river served as a waterway for transporting and receiving goods. A thriving trade saw Trok Ban Chin become a busy and vibrant village, complete with several markets, wood shops and houses owned by wealthy merchants of the era. During World War II, bombs were dropped on this city, which caused many people to leave and migrate to other areas, leaving their homes behind and deserted. However, in the last decade this town has been renovated and the houses have been restored. Since then, the vibrancy has been restored to this village and it has become an attractive historical landmark.
