Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) has unveiled its theme song to boost tourism for the 2019 season.

Because it is very important to the Thai government to promote tourism, a new idea has been devised to attract tourists with a song. Many attractions are promoted through the media. One important question remains unanswered. How do you reach people who are not yet in Thailand! And how do foreigners recognize this promotional song?

The new song, titled “Wonderful Thailand National Parks” invites listeners to visit the country's national parks and attractions while discouraging the use of disposable plastic waste material. The measure is in line with government policy to encourage public participation in environmental issues.

The song's music video was aired for free on all public channels to promote and gather interest in the country's attractions.

Can't imagine that they want to promote tourism with this song, because apart from the beautiful images, about 99% of the target group does not understand what it is really about.
A song at least in English to promote tourists to the various attractions would have a little more effect here.
Furthermore, it always breaks my heart when I want to visit such an attraction with my Thai family, where they pay 30Baht, and I pay ten times that.
And please spare me for discussions of income difference, and whether or not someone pays tax in Thailand.
Most tourists pay just as much, or usually more, in tax than the average Thai in the relatively short time they are there.
It is and remains discriminatory, and the most beautiful welcome and promotion song changes NOTHING about that.
