The Ministry of Social Security has offered about 50 young people from Nongprue a seminar at the Wat Boonsamphan school. These are fourth and fifth graders of this school. Young people are taught how to become resilient, so as not to fall into the hands of pimps and human traffickers.

For this seminar, the Human Protection Network of Thailand Department of Child Protection and Development has been invited to provide this part of the school's sex education.

The aim of the course is to make young people aware of the risks and temptations they can face. They gain more insight into the dangers that lie ahead and are therefore better able to oversee the consequences of such choices.

Advice is given to students on how to protect themselves and avoid certain situations. The students are also taught different methods how to react in undesirable situations and practical exercises in case of dangerous situations.

Similar seminars are taking place in numerous local schools.

  1. Jacques says up

One cannot argue with awareness and a realistic view. Is badly needed for a large group of naive people because the danger is all around us. Certainly deserves imitation and widely used among the target groups. Poverty always drives a certain group to make decisions that are later regretted. Prevention is better than cure because in this world of human trafficking and exploitation, the wounds are forever.
