No! Can not.

At least if you want to follow the rules of the Ministry of Agriculture. Then certain types of fruit are only allowed if they have a certificate. And there is control at the airports.

I provide a link in English and it says which kind of fruit you are not allowed to take with you.

Bringing fruit to Thailsnd can be compared to bringing your sandwiches to a restaurant…..

    Not that strange I guess.
There are more countries that apply such regulations.
Although it may be strange that pineapple, coconut, durian, banana and dates are allowed to enter the EU freely.

Why, this article is about bringing fruit TO Thailand and not the other way around. Or am I reading wrong?

With which I just want to point out that Thailand is not an exception that applies such a ban and that it applies in several countries, taking the EU as an example only.

My last flight in September 2022 Amsterdam Bkk, I brought from the Netherlands: 36 frozen herrings, 1 frozen smoked mackerel, 8 packages with croquettes, bitterballen, party snacks for the oven, various Dutch cheeses (cheese was not frozen but vacuum packed)
Everything arrived frozen, at home everything immediately in the freezer and my partner and I enjoyed, among other things, the herring and mackerel.
No problems at customs, 1 suitcase containing the fish had to go through the scanner, but no comments, I could just continue.
Did you get lucky or do people not care so much at customs?
          Greeting.

Thailand has a wide range of laws, rules and regulations for everything.
But you should know by now that applying it consistently is a whole different story.

Thanks for this article. I used to make the owner of my apartment very happy with cherries from the Netherlands, but I'll stop with that now. It was never a problem though.

My wife will also have to miss the cherries that friends bring us in July..
