Interview RTL news with new ambassador Remco van Wijngaarden

RTL news has interviewed the new ambassador for Thailand, Remco van Wijngaarden. A nice story to read. Remco talks about his special family life and the surprised looks when he walks down the street with his family.
The tall, white Remco and his shorter, half-Vietnamese man Carter and his three children: Ella (almost 4) has a dark complexion, the twins Lily and Cooper (almost 2) are white-Asian mixed. A truly multicultural family.
Remco, his partner and children still live in Shanghai, but will move to Bangkok in six months' time, where Remco will become an ambassador.

As stated at the end of the interview: every family is special. This family life is a bit more special than what is more usual. I wish Remco van Wijngaarden and his family a good time in Bangkok. He has already indicated that he will continue with Kees Rade's monthly diaries. If that is also with the charm / warmth of the late Karel Hartogh, then the Dutch in Thailand must have a positive vote. I wonder if Remco will succeed in mastering the Thai language a bit. Anway, good luck and have fun in Thailand! 🙂
