A consortium led by the CP Group including the China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) will finance the 220-kilometre rail link. The high-speed line will connect Bangkok with Pattaya, among others.

Several parties are participating in this project led by Charoen Pokphand (CP) and the aforementioned CRCC. Also, several Japanese banks are making investments in the line. The high-speed line is expected to be operational in 2023.

A remarkable fact is that after 50 years, the government becomes the owner of this rail connection, but no further substantive announcements are made about this construction.

The railway will connect Suvarnabhumi Airport to Don Muang and to U-Tapao near Pattaya. It is assumed that the speed can be reached up to 250 kilometers per hour. Other stations that will be served are Phaya Thai station, Makhasan station, Chachoengsao station, Chon Buri station, Sriracha station which will be linked to Trat and Rayong in the future.

The extent to which the intended speed will be achieved and on which part the future will show, given the 5 stations between Don Muang and U-Tapao.

It is not about the railway line at all, but about the land next to the railway line.
Otherwise they will never stand out.
I wonder if it will be double track with standard track width of 1450 mm and no meter track otherwise they can shake.
I wonder if it will be ready in 4 years.

That means that you are in Pattaya within 45 minutes.
    If he drives straight through.
And where is he going to stop in Pattaya?
Wait and see. See first and then believe.

Would also be an idea to drive to hua hinterland from the airport.
Saves a lot of traffic on the road to hua hin.
